If you haven’t added New York City to your travel bucket list, the time is now. Explore a few of the many reasons why NYC is the perfect destination for your next adventure.

  • New York City boasts some of the most iconic landmarks in the country – two of which are must-sees when you visit: the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Clocking in at 103 stories, the Empire State Building has been a pillar of the New York City skyline since 1930. On a clear day visitors can see six surrounding states from the observation deck. Next, take the free Staten Island Ferry for the most incredible views of the Statue of Liberty. Located in New York Harbor, this sculpture has stood as a beacon on liberty for generations.

  • If you need an escape from the concrete jungle, head to Central Park, an 843-acre green space oasis in Manhattan. For over 150 years, Central Park has been welcoming tens of millions of visitors and is one of the most explored urban parks in the United States.

  • Don’t miss your chance to see the largest art museum in North America. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, more commonly referred to as “The MET,” offers visitors one of the most diverse collections of art and artifacts in existence, spanning more than 5,000 years of human history.

  • When you’re in the Big Apple, New York-style pizza is a must. These extra-large thin crust slices are a staple for any NYC trip. Stop by Joe’s Pizza or John's of Bleecker Street for some of the most legendary slices in the city.

Buffalo:

Located along the shores of Lake Erie, Buffalo presents stunning architecture, a unique food scene, and iconic landmarks.

  • Buffalo is the birthplace of the iconic Buffalo wing, and foodies won't want to miss the Buffalo Wing Trail. Sample this spicy delicacy at 12 legendary spots – from the birthplace of the wing to small and independent joints using their own sauces and spices.

  • Just a short drive from Buffalo awaits the majestic Niagara Falls. The authentic way to experience the awe-inspiring power of the falls is via a boat tour on the Maid of the Mist, but you can also explore the surrounding Niagara Falls State Park for breathtaking views and hiking trails.

  • While it may not be the first thing that comes to mind, the city of Buffalo features a wealth of architectural gems perfect for exploring. Some of the most famous are the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Darwin Martin House and the stunning Art Deco City Hall

Syracuse:

In the heart of New York, Syracuse offers visitors the chance to experience natural beauty and history, making it an ideal vacation spot.

  • Begin your exploration in Armory Square, Syracuse's lively downtown district filled with boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants. This historic area, once home to the city's armory and factories during World War II, is now a hub for dining and shopping.

  • Syracuse University adds a youthful energy to Syracuse. Stroll through the campus to admire its beautiful architecture, including Crouse College with its Gothic towers. If you are looking to feel the excitement of a competitive collegiate sporting event, you will find passionate fans all around.

  • Syracuse also makes the perfect jumping off point to explore the Finger Lakes region of New York. Comprised of eleven separate lakes, there’s no shortage of activities or beautiful views to be found.

These cities in New York offer something for everyone, making it the perfect spot for a summer vacation. Whether you're captivated by the dazzling lights of Times Square, eager to savor Buffalo's culinary delights, or intrigued by Syracuse's rich history, New York state promises an adventure like no other.
