Ready to press pause on your usual routine and press play on something a little sunnier? We’ve got a handful of spots that make “just a weekend” feel like a mini life upgrade. Pack lightly, roll with the unexpected, and yes, book nonstop.

Sailboats glide on a river against a city skyline with tall buildings. Trees line the water. Evening light casts a warm glow.

Cobblestone streets, clam chowder that actually tastes like New England, and a harbor that sparkles even when you’re running late for a tour. Museums, duck boats, and Fenway because some things never lose their charm.

A couple holds hands, walking on a bridge towards a city skyline. Trees with fall colors line the path under a partly cloudy sky.

The city that makes you feel alive without even trying. Hot dogs in Central Park, rooftop cocktails, and that little thrill when a subway ride turns into a serendipitous adventure. You don’t need a plan, just show up and soak it in.

Blue building with fire escape on a sunny street corner, Union St. Sign reads "No Outlet." Colorful houses line the quiet road.

Fog rolling over the Golden Gate, cable cars climbing impossibly steep hills, and a taco or two that will make you question every other taco you’ve ever had. Bonus, easy to navigate but still feels like an escape.

A person in a white shirt overlooks a cityscape with palm trees and skyscrapers, under a clear sky, creating a serene urban view.

Sun on your shoulders, boardwalks under your feet, and a city that wears its glamour lightly. Film sets, hikes with views, or just people-watching in Venice, pick your pace, it’s all good.

Mountains, art, and beer that could double as local landmarks. Stroll through town, admire the art, then hit the Blue Ridge Parkway for a little mountain therapy.

A person with long hair and a blue backpack stands on a sandy hill overlooking a clear blue lake and green trees under a bright sky.

Cherry blossoms, waterfront sunsets, and small-town charm that somehow feels epic. Sip wine, rent a kayak, or just let the lake tell you it’s okay to do nothing.

Outdoorsy meets unexpectedly artsy. Hiking, riverside reading, and a downtown that cheers your ability to show up even if you only stayed 24 hours. Nature and craft coffee, sometimes that’s all you need.

Person kayaking on a lake surrounded by mountains and forests under a clear sky. The kayak is red, and the person wears yellow.

Gateway to Glacier National Park and a summer that feels vast in all the right ways. Mountains, lakes, and the kind of fresh air that makes you reconsider what “vacation energy” really is.

Summer isn’t about booking a seat in the front row of life, it’s about showing up, making space for small victories, and collecting moments worth more than a perfect Instagram. Nonstop flights from MSP get you from your front door to all these spots without a pit stop in a terminal you’d rather forget. Left after lunch, made it by sunset, that’s our kind of travel.

Sunburns fade. Stories don’t. So go ahead, book it, pack it, fly it. Summer’s ready when you are.
