While other airlines struggled throughout 2020, we were quietly working behind the scenes, developing a business model that would ensure the growth of our airline. CEO Jude Bricker sat down with the Star Tribune recently to explain how we’ve done what others couldn’t.
Becoming one of the most profitable airlines in the United States isn’t easy. But, that’s our reality. It’s all in thanks to our diversified business model and the fact that we have a dynamic scheduling strategy that beneficially leverages demand and profitability.
“If the demand [for a route] is high, we fly a lot more and that brings down the airfares. If demand is low, we fly less and still airfares don’t fall below where it’s profitable for us,” Jude said in the interview. “It works for the community. It works for us. And that’s the model.”
Jude also talked about how we run our charter and cargo operations to maximize our operations, why we have no intentions of competing with Delta and how our people and the Twin Cities community are what make it all work.
