Foodie finds: Top destinations for your culinary cravings

Three people eating pizza in NYC

While landscape, weather, and activities are critical criteria when choosing a trip destination, there’s one thing becoming more and more of a deciding factor: the food! With stretchy pant season upon us, we put in the work to find the best of the best. Head to one of the cities below for delicious food finds of all kinds.

Known for its bright lights, gaming tables, and scintillating nightlife, one of the most underrated showstoppers in the “Gambling Capital of the World” is the food. With unlimited options at any hour of the day and within any traveler’s budget, Las Vegas has increasingly gained fame in the culinary world. Whether you’re looking for a fancy night out at a top-rated steakhouse, an iconic throwback Vegas diner, or quick street food on the way to the craps table, you’ll be in luck.

With palm trees, beaches, a hopping art scene, and a melting pot of cultural cuisine, Miami celebrates food like no place else. Colombian? Bahamian? Cuban? No problem.

The main street in Miami’s Cuban cultural hub of Little Havanna. This popular spot features Smorgasburg Miami, a weekly open-air market full of local vendors, food truck rallies, and street food favorites like Wok to Talk and The Dirty Burgers.

In the city that never sleeps, it’s critical to find good eats. Pizza may reign supreme but walk off the beaten path a bit and you’ll find amazing Pho, Southern Comfort food, and, perhaps, a celebrity or two.

Your one-stop-shop for food of all kinds, great shopping, and live events. There’s even a speakeasy in the basement of this former meatpacking hub.

With its rich history, jazz, ghost tours, and some of the finest food in the South, New Orleans certainly deserves its spot on our list. Long after the Mardi Gras beads have been thrown, this city serves up a sparkling array of Cajun and Creole cuisine all year round.

Celebrating its 50-year anniversary, the annual Crawfish Festival is a seafood lover’s dream come true. Authentic Cajun cuisine, arts and crafts vendors, and live entertainment await.

Long-been the best “foodie” destination in the Midwest, Chicago boasts more than its deep-dish pizza and famous namesake hot dog. From Michelin-starred restaurants to some of the best hole-in-the-wall hidden gems, you won’t leave the Windy City hungry.

While not technically ‘food,’ a good old glass of whiskey goes a long way in keeping you warm in late January. Sip your way through more than 20 craft, small-batch varieties while sampling tasty bites from local popular food hot spots. And, if tequila is more your thing, they have a fest for that, too!

Whenever your destination may take you, there will be a table waiting. Pack your stretchy pants and finalize your tastiest food itinerary now. Get to Going.
