Off the Las Vegas Strip: a three-day food & coffee-focused itinerary

Updated: Jul 27, 2023

Las Vegas is well-known for the lights and excitement of The Strip, but did you know that the city also boasts an Arts District and Downtown area that highlights some of the city’s best creative and cultural spaces? We’ve curated a three-day itinerary utilizing the FREE transport services of the Downtown Loop shuttle that highlights some of the best food and coffee along the way. The service offers frequent stops at multiple popular destinations both Downtown and throughout the Arts District during the day. The shuttle runs from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Let’s go!

Day 1

Depart Harry Reid International Airport and head to your hotel. Drop your bags, refresh, and head out.

Start with a morning pick-me-up at Vesta Coffee Roasters - a good opportunity to stretch your legs and do an initial walk down Main Street. They roast their coffee on site, so be sure to grab an extra-fresh bag of beans to take home.

Shuttle stop: both the Arts District and Arts District South stop will put you within a few blocks.

Next, hit up some local retailers on the surrounding blocks, including For the Love, LV, Pharmacy Boardshop, and Recycled Propaganda.

Esther's Kitchen Brunch in Las Vegas, Nevada
Esther's Kitchen the best quaint little place to stop in for a bite to eat

Afterward, take a quick jaunt to Esther’s Kitchen for brunch, a local favorite that focuses on seasonal specialties and fresh handmade pasta. We recommend getting homemade sourdough and one of their many fresh spreads. Be sure to catch some rays on the patio if the weather permits.

Spend the rest of your afternoon at the Arts Factory, a warehouse that hosts multiple galleries featuring local artists and unique performance spaces. Bonus: if you are lucky enough to be here on a Friday, check out the First Friday art walk and block party.

Pizza at Good Pie Pizza Shop Las Vegas, Nevada
This delicious pizza was the best way to close out the first day in Vegas.

End the day early with some takeout from Good Pie’s to-go window. This pizza joint offers a variety of pizza styles and toppings to satisfy all the pizza lovers on your trip. Hint: try their signature “grandma” style pizza, a thin-crust square pizza.

It’s been a long day. Rest and recharge for tomorrow.

Day 2

Lattes at Dig It! Las Vegas Coffee Shop
Thesefun lattes are a great way to brighten up the morning

When you’re ready, head to Dig It! Coffee Company to get your day started. Dig It! is a social enterprise coffee company that provides job training and mentorship to neurodiverse adults and people with disabilities. Try one of their extra-fun lattes with a breakfast pastry. The space is super colorful and ready for a good photo opportunity.

Shuttle stop: Arts District South

Just up the street is the “Greetings from Las Vegas” mural. Grab a quick picture to commemorate your trip.

Next, hop on the shuttle and head to the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets. This outdoor mall is the perfect place to find a great deal and enjoy some sun.
