This June, we opened our doors—and hangar—to Minnesota ACE Camp for two days packed with discovery, inspiration, and hands-on learning. As part of our growing partnership with this incredible organization, we were proud to host students at our headquarters and maintenance facility on Monday, June 16 and Monday, June 23.
ACE Camp's mission: connect high school students with real-world aviation experiences that spark lifelong careers. That’s exactly what happened here.

The day began at HQ, where campers got a full overview of our airline from Dave Setterstrom, Senior Director of our System Operations Center.
“I’m truly impressed by the ACE program and the unique opportunity it provides for young people to explore the world of aviation,” says Dave. “A highlight for me is sharing insights into the critical, yet often unseen, work of System Operations Control (SOC). It is a behind-the-scenes operation that keeps flights running safely and I hope learning about it sparked curiosity in the wide range of exciting career paths available in aviation.”
From there, students dove into the world of flight with Chief Pilot Brian Roseen, who shared what it takes to fly the line—and how pilots build a career from first solo to final approach. Our pilot training team walked through the training process and answered questions about the tools and techniques that prepare our crews for the skies.

The students also toured our System Operations Center (SOC), where they got a preview into how we track flights, respond to weather, and work as one team to keep our operation running safely and smoothly.
Then it was off to the hangar. Students met with members of our aircraft maintenance team and explored a 737-800—outside and in. One of the highlights? Sitting in the flight deck and hearing how our AMTs and pilots work together to keep every aircraft airworthy.
This hands-on experience is one piece of a larger commitment. Earlier this year, we announced our formal partnership with Minnesota ACE Camp, including a $10,000 donation toward student scholarships. Our contribution helps make aviation more accessible for students from all backgrounds.
We believe the future of aviation starts with access, mentorship, and opportunity, and we’re proud to play a role in helping students see what’s possible.
