Last weekend, we joined representatives from across the aviation industry at Flying Cloud Airport for Girls in Aviation Day 2025.Â
The event brought together aspiring young aviators for a day of hands-on learning, inspiration, and exploration of the world of aviation. Attendees connected with organizations spanning commercial aviation, the U.S. military, and corporate aviation, gaining a true picture of the many paths available in the skies.
Our pilots loved stepping out of the flight deck to share their experiences, answer questions, and encourage the next generation of women to pursue careers in aviation. Â
Girls in Aviation Day 2025 saw 1,800+ attendees, 200+ volunteers, 50+ exhibitors, and more than 20 aircraft displays.Â
We are proud to partner with Girls in Aviation organizers, Stars of the North, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women in aviation. As the Minneapolis/St. Paul area chapter of Women in Aviation International, Stars of the North works to create opportunities for mentorship, education, and industry exposure for girls and women pursuing careers in aviation.Â
We believe aviation careers should be within reach for everyone. Supporting events like this helps us build a stronger, more inclusive industry while inspiring the next generation of team members who may one day wear the Sun Country wings. Â
This partnership reflects our shared commitment to building a more inclusive future in the skies and investing in the people who will shape it.Â
