Fly your true colors: Celebrating Pride with our employees

Employees holding Sun Country banner

Last weekend, about 30 of our employees and their families represented Sun Country Airlines by participating in the Twin Cities Pride Parade in downtown Minneapolis. Employees greeted supporters lining the parade route on Hennepin Avenue with two baggage carts reimagined as vintage suitcases adorned with stickers from various destinations and rainbow handles.

The Twin Cities Pride Parade holds a significant place in Minnesota’s history. Originating in 1972 as a small gathering in Loring Park, it has since grown into one of the largest LGBTQ+ pride events in the Midwest. Over the decades, Twin Cities Pride has become a platform for advocacy, visibility, and celebration of LGBTQ+ rights and culture. Each year, the festival and parade draws thousands of participants from across Minnesota and beyond.

Our participation in Twin Cities Pride not only symbolizes solidarity with our LGBTQ+ employees and customers, but more importantly gives our employees the chance to celebrate their authentic selves alongside our community.
