Recently, Hennepin Theatre Trust’s Spotlight Education Program held its annual Spotlight Showcase at the State Theater in Minneapolis. The show is Minnesota’s largest celebration of high school theater and provides more than 1,600 students the opportunity to be on stage (and behind stage) at the renowned State Theatre. Each year, Spotlight Education honors a handful of Minnesota high school theater students who have shown distinction in singing, dancing, acting, stagecraft, and an overall demonstration of leadership, teamwork, and creativity.
Sun Country provides recognized students with an all-expenses paid trip to New York City, where they attend Broadway shows, meet with professionals in the industry, and participate in workshops.
The 2022-2023 Triple Threat Broadway Experience recipients are:
Gabi Acostacano (Eastview High School, outgoing junior)
Tai Auran (Alexandria Area High School, graduating senior)
Imani Harris (Coon Rapids High School, graduating senior)
Natalie Pietig (Mahtomedi High School, graduating senior).
