Tips to make your travel a more comfortable experience

Whether you’re flying to a tropical paradise or just visiting family a few states away, traveling can be exhausting. The good news is that with a little planning and a few helpful tips, you can make your next trip much more comfortable. Here are a few suggestions we have to help ease your journey:

Dress for comfort

This may go without saying, but when you are on a long flight or sitting at the airport for a few hours, comfort is key. Plan to wear loose, breathable fabrics and layers. Airports and planes can feel chilly one moment and quickly change to stuffy, so layers are your best friend for combating both.

Pack smart

The less you have to carry, the easier your trip will be. Limiting bags can make navigating the airport, security lines, and your destination much smoother, and save you money. Packing cubes are also a lifesaver when it comes to keeping your things organized and are perfect for fitting more into your suitcase without it being chaos. You will know exactly where everything is and save time digging around for that one missing item.

Stay hydrated

Between dry air and the hustle and bustle of running around the airport, it is easy to get dehydrated. Make sure to bring a refillable water bottle so you can have something to sip throughout the trip. (We also offer complimentary beverages in flight if you’re looking for something with a little flavor!) Staying hydrated allows you to stay energized and keeps you on track for your adventure.

Bring the right gear

Noise-cancelling headphones, a travel pillow, and an eye mask can go a long way toward making travel more relaxing. Create your own bubble of comfort, whether you are onboard the plane or waiting at the terminal.

Plan ahead

It is no secret that rushing through the airport or dealing with last-minute stress can ruin the vacation mood. Give yourself plenty of time to get through security, and make sure all your essentials — like your ID, boarding pass, and any snacks — are easy to access.

Traveling doesn't need to just be about getting to where you are going, it can be an enjoyable and fun part of the vacation itself. With a little preparation and a few smart strategies, you can help make sure your flight is a relaxed and satisfying experience.
